Unlock Pleasure Workshop ~ Retreat

Online: October 2-4, 2020

The Guide’s teachings on pleasure are profound. The lectures offer:

Facilitated by: Madeline Dietrich M.A. S.E.P. Pathwork Helper, Group Facilitator and Somatic Therapist

Facilitated by: Madeline Dietrich M.A. S.E.P. Pathwork Helper, Group Facilitator and Somatic Therapist

Pleasure is the organic outcome of emotional healing and spiritual development.  Pleasure is our birthright.  Pleasure is the “God” state and love is a pre-requisite.  We need pleasure for healing and yet our wounded-ness and unconsciousness obstructs pleasure.  So how do we bring these concepts into practical application in our lives?

We will explore the concepts above through lecture study, meditation, movement, experiential exercises and process work, and implement simple steps to get a taste of what these teachings can unlock in our lives. You are asked to hold retreat time and space in-between the on-line segments.

About Madeline

Madeline Dietrich is the Creator of Unlock Pleasure, a program that works with the holistic nature of pleasure to support people to redefine and reclaim pleasure as a tool for greater wellbeing and resilience. She has been a student of the Pathwork lectures since 1984, and later a Helper, Teacher, Facilitator and community leader.   Currently Madeline teaches in the Helpership Development Programs in Japan, Israel and Canada. To this work she also brings her training as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, aspects of positive psychology, and her own lived experience with pleasure.  Madeline lives in Ottawa, Canada.  www.madelinedietrich.com

Life and pleasure are one. Lack of pleasure is the distortion of the life force and comes from opposing the creative principle. Life, pleasure, contact and oneness with others are the goal of the cosmic plan.

Brian O’Donnell Ph.D has been a student, Helper, supervisor and teacher for the past 36 years. His Call has been to take the Pathwork around the world. In addition, Brian is a psychotherapist. Brian is currently opening to the possibility that he has enough and is enough.

Our relationship with money reveals our deepest degrees of separation as well as our true faith in life.

Money, like sex can be a compelling screen covering past wounds, unmet needs, issues around control, security and authority, and ultimately trust in Life.

Conflict, shame, avoidance and compulsion that surround money can obscure the radical and simple gesture of Surrender of Life, which can open the door to the Infinite Treasury, which is our True Nature.

All too often, especially in spiritual circles, frank discussion of finances is taboo.  In this retreat we will explore compassionately, mindfully, playfully and fiercely our contractions and flows around money as a barometer to the “immeasurable abundance that is available to all humans.”

Our curriculum for the retreat will be Guide Lectures #130-Abundance versus Acceptance; #205-Order as a Universal Principle and #250-Exposing the Deficit and Awareness of Grace.

The aim and practice of the Pathwork is to savor Life.

To fully savor life, we need to meet it as it is experienced in the moment, in an undefended way. This means that in that moment, we have access to a full range of feelings in response to the pleasant and unpleasant situations that life delivers. Our feelings are the portal to our deeper True Self.

Most of us experience fear or other unwanted feelings of pain, rage, fear, loneliness or despair, and so we block this organic movement of thefeeling body. This blocking not only limits our capacity to be fulfilled, but also attracts stronger and stronger doses of what we have denied and avoided.
